Club Members: This is our major fundraiser and is an all hands on deck opportunity. Help will be needed all day from set up to clean up. Water stop volunteers, road marking volunteers and kitchen help will all be needed.

In addition to our primary corporate sponsor Lancaster Regional Medical Center (thank you Bob!!), we need other sponsors at the $500, $250 or $100 levels. If you want to sponsor the ride, or know of other businesses that may want to, please contact Sunrise Rotarian Beth Mack at 717-581-9981.

A special "Thank You" to our major corporate sponsors of the 2017 Ride for Literacy event!

Bill Ross introduced our speaker, Melissa Leibig.  Melissa has just recently started with CASA of Lancaster, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate.  They serve as advocates for kids in foster situations, many who are victims of abuse and neglect.  As advocates, they report to the judges, and serve as their eyes and ears.  Unfortunately, they are only able to help 73% of children in need of services due to a lack of both personnel and funding.  After a training period, volunteers spend time visiting both foster care homes and biological homes of the children and work to cultivate a relationship with the kids.  If anyone is interested in knowing more, information can be found on their website at www.lasalancaster.org
